I usually enjoy NE Conneely's books, but I'm afraid this one just didn't do it for me. I suspect it may have been aimed at younger readers; at any rate the storytelling, despite the interesting premise of a young woman, dissatisfied with her life, and a family determined to suppress her imagination, who is taken into Fairyland, and must decide whether or not to stay there. There was an awful lot of basic description of Fairyland, and not a lot of plot; it read as though the author was still working out the detail of her imaginary world, and hadn't yet worked up the actual story.There might well be more of interest further on in the book, but I'm afraid I had no interest in finding out.Product details

Great new series from a fantastic writer! I was worried it might be similar to her other series but not in the least. She always leaves you wanting more.
I truly felt like i was in the feys' world of magic, dragons, as i read through this book. I love how this author' s words allows you to walk in the shoes of the lead female character and experience first hand magic and beauty. I cant wait for her next books!
An enjoyable read by a delightful author.I would recommend this book to all those who enjoy paranormal stories and other worlds. Having read her other stories, this is a different slant and i hope it continues on.
The wonder of magic and love which is something this human world needs. Oh to be so hearted. Unfortunately as stated the human world would only abuse it for self gratification instead of family and love first. Rose could teach us all. I will be waiting to read more of Rose's life lessons and experiences.
I LOVED this book. The story of Rose, her transformation, her love of what magic had to offer, her challenges, and even her failures made her a"complete" character I won't be able to forget. Do yourself a favor and read her story. I humbly ask that there be more books of Rose and her adventures. Now I wish I could have Pearl to keep me company, because I miss them already
I read the reviews and didn't expect much, but this did have a plot. It had a slow start and took awhile to suspend disbelief but the plot and message gained in sophistication and I ended up quite attached to the characters and have ended up quite satisfied and rarely give five stars. I almost gave up at beginning and would have given one or two stars but came back and gave the book a fair amount of chances and ended up enthralled to my surprise. Great escape.
I've already read the 4 Witch for Hires series of books by this author and while waiting for book 5, noticed this new book was available. It's a great story and makes me wish such a place existed. I hope this will turn into a series too - would love to hear more tales from this land and the fey hearted.
