Lush is a story of love that started from when they were young. I may not be a fan of new adult romance but I love stories like this that rooted from innocence and grow till they are adult enough to know that what they are feeling is real. A favorite writer of mine from our local publisher once said that love that blossom at sixteen is the purest and truest of them all and the sweetest when nurtured in time. No word can be truer for the story between Michael and Julie.I can't help smiling as I picture out Julie's younger self probably always tailing Mike every possible opportunity and telling him with all the sincerity in her young heart how she felt about him. That's why I felt how it might have scarred her when that specific night happened. Then seeing the two of them together years after, the spark igniting between them and the attraction both of them couldn't deny, I found myself looking forward to how Michael will redeem himself from the damaged he created years before.
The times the two of them spent together to get reacquainted and get over their past was a wonderful ride. I just wish it was longer and there was more into their story. If you're looking for a great short read, this one is an awesome pick.

I don't even know how I came across it but I stared reading it and couldn't put it down. Actually one of the book where I didn't check the reviews or the summary of the story. I absolutely love it. It's a Great quick read and can't wait for the second book.

I just love a book that after you finish it your heart skips a beat and you have a smile on your face. This book did just that for me. As the story progressed you could not help but want these two to give in to one another. The writing was on the wall, and with every page you just wanted them to end up in one another's arms after all these years. My oh my I had to fan myself for sure. Great read by a great author.

In this story the past and present collide at a speed dating event hosted by Michael Winthrop, the owner of the bar/nightclub.
Julia Kinkaid has been in love with Michael Winthrop since she was a young girl and to teach Jules a lesson Michael played a horrible trick on her to use as blackmail. He ripped her heart to shreds and hasn't seen her in ten long years.
Read Lush and find out what happens when the two of them come face to face ten years after he shattered her heart.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. My only complaint was that it was a short story. I enjoyed the way Ms. Adonn handled the adolescent memories of both characters and brought them back together a decade later as adults. It was a fun, easy read and a nice way to spend an hour or so. I realize Ms. Adonn is from South Africa, and I appreciated her mentioning that in the beginning of her book regarding her spelling choices, but there were still quite a few proofreading errors throughout the book that detracted from the story. Regardless, I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Adonn.
What a wonderful start to a new series of novellas. Chris Adonn's LUSH is short but it's extremely entertaining. I couldn't help but fall in love with Julia and Michael and root for them to get back together and rekindle their young love. The novella is classified a romantic comedy and it doesn't disappoint. It's funny with quick wit and a lot of sharp dialogue. But it's also very hot. LUSH makes a great "between book" read. If you're looking for a quick read that you can finishing in one sitting, you'll definitely want to pick up LUSH. I look forward to the next installment of Chris Adonn's LOVE STORY COLLECTION.
There are several themes of love and friendship on multiple layers in this wonderful novella.
It opens with best friends attending a speed dating event as a favor to the older brother of one woman. Now, as you can imagine, this could be a wonderful adventure or a true test of loyalty.
Chris Adonn masters the task of allowing us to move around in time and view events from the perspective of several characters. It is always amazing how easily misunderstandings can come of people interpreting a situation differently.
Julia has had a crush on Michael since the day she met him. Sadly, she was only 7 years old, he 3 years older. She told him she loved him after she turned ten. After Michael graduated from high school he wanted to travel and make his own mark on the world, not knowing how heartbroken Julia would be.
They meet again when both all grown up. Now 3 years difference in their ages is not important.
What is important are memories of a broken heart - but is it Julia's or Michaels?
While the author does inform us there will be naughty bits in this story, I would let my teenager read it.
It is tastefully written and really very sweet, with humorous moments and some really interesting references to cars and motorcycles.
